Egg-in-a-hole or Miner’s Eggs
(Recipe by Marina)
Ingredients:
1 slice of bread
1 medium/large egg
Salt and pepper
Dried basil
Dried chili flakes
To make:
Cut a hole in the middle of the slice of bread.
Put a frying pan on medium-high heat. Add oil.
Place bread and bread hole middle in the pan. Let it sizzle of a minute.
Crack 1 egg into the hole of the bread. Cook for a few minutes.
Sprinkle with salt, pepper, dried basil, and chili flakes to taste.
Flip the bread and the bread middle. Cook for another few minutes. (You don’t want to overcook or the egg yolk won’t be runny.)
Turn heat off, slid onto plate, EAT!
